The writer of this semi-fictional, semi- fictional book, a young Greek documentary director, explores the hidden world of a mystical African-Brazilian religion, Candomble. Like a fictional character derived from the famous Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco, she peeks like an insider the rituals, traditions and practices of this extraordinary religion, living in Bahia, Brazil for a period of time. She reports her experiences, what she felt by her contact with the Divine, as it is expressed in the context of Candomble, together with the mainstream beliefs, Mythology and Theology of Candomble, in this brief introduction to the profound religious belief of a fascinating non-Western religious universe of Brazil.
